Free ramen: Ippudo Cupertino’s grand opening giveaway

When Japan’s renowned Ippudo opens its first South Bay
ramen shop on Friday, Feb. 14, it will pay to be among the first
100 patrons in line in Cupertino.

You’ll get a voucher for a free bowl of ramen on your next
visit.

And you’ll be able to take advantage of the grand opening
special. From Friday through Sunday, Feb. 16, all customers may
order ramen for $10.

Shigemi Kawahara launched his vision of ramen as a culinary
experience in 1985. Decades later, a Berkeley restaurant in 2017
became the first West Coast outpost of his ramen empire, which
numbers more than 200. That was followed by a location in San
Francisco.
